The Ninth Anniversary Single Malt Whiskey was distilled from a mash of 100% malted barley. It was aged for 2 years in 25 gallon used bourbon barrels and it was finished for 1 year in a used Cognac cask. This is a one time, limited edition bottling. The whiskey was 36 months old when it was bottled in June of 2019. 94 proof / 47% ABV Tasting Notes: The nose offers a near perfect balance of wood and distillate (very subtle for something matured in a hot climate), with vanilla and toasted almonds balanced against a dried pineapple with some fresher green apple notes. Powerful wood spices at first dominate the palate, but soon vibrant notes of tobacco, new leather, strawberry jam and liquorice appear – the excellent mouthfeel should be remarked upon too. The balance of spice and fruit continues onto the finish with waves of vanilla and cinnamon showing against ground coffee and dark chocolate. Would pair exceptionally with a medium bodied Cuban cigar…

The Eight Anniversary Rye Whiskey was distilled from a mash of 88% Arkansas grown Rye grain and 12% malted barley. It was aged for 4 years in 53 gallon barrels and is “bottled-in-bond” at 100 proof. This is a one time, limited edition bottling. Barreled in December of 2013, the whiskey was 54 months old when it was bottled in June of 2018. 100 proof / 50% ABV Reviews: The nose has good rye spices with clove, allspice, nutmeg, and a hint of dill balanced by caramel, honey, and vanilla notes. The taste has a good buildup of those same spices with caramel, honey, and vanilla adding depth and complexity in the background. The finish is long with lingering spices and a touch of honey. Very nice! (August, 2018) 92/100 – Mark Gillespie of WhiskyCast

The Fifth Anniversary Bourbon is distilled using the same process as Rock Town’s award winning Arkansas Bourbon but is aged for 4 years in 53 gallon barrels and is “bottled-in-bond” at 100 proof. This is a one time, limited edition bottling. As originally laid out in the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, to be labeled as Bottled-in-Bond, the bourbon must be the product of one distillation season (January to December) and one distiller at one distillery. It must have been aged in a federally bonded warehouse under U.S. government supervision for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof (50% alcohol by volume). The bottled product’s label must identify the distillery where it was distilled and, if different, where it was bottled. Only spirits produced in the United States may be designated as bonded. This Bourbon was made in early 2011, mashed from Arkansas Corn, Arkansas Wheat and malted barley, fermented, distilled, aged for 4 years, bottled and packaged at the distillery in Little Rock. 90 – Rock Town 5th Anniversary Bourbon Aged for 4 years and bottled in bond, this bourbon has a mash of Arkansas grown grains, including 73% corn, 9% wheat and 18% barley. Dark Amber in color, a robust nose spotlights cinnamon, oak and black petter. The palate is an enjoyable journey from sweet caramel corn to spicy cinnamon and oak. Cinnamon is the star in the mid-palate, where it’s well supported by the underlying alcohol. A long and slightly dry finish caps off a craft whiskey done right. – GK – Whisky Advocate Magazine – Fall 2015 issue 92 – 2016 Whisky Bible by Jim Murray Rock Town 5th Anniversary Arkansas Straight Bourbon Whiskey #4 char white oak casks, bott Apr 15 db (92) n22.5 busy spice, presumably wheat, and a mix of muscovado sugar and maple syrup. Heavy oils: signs of a generous cut; t24 good grief! Probably the biggest whiskey I’ll taste today. All kind of corn oils run rampant, though some enticing barley notes offer an unexpected salivating quality. The oak pounds hard, with some major liquorice notes; f21 yes, a little too well oiled but the sugars fade gracefully; b22.5 thought my taste buds were deceiving me on delivery with an unexpected barley kick. On inspection, it does boast 20% malted barley: intriguing as well as delicious.

The Sixth Anniversary Bourbon is a sour mash bourbon distilled from four grains: 62.5 % Arkansas grown corn, 12.5% Arkansas grown wheat, 12.5% Arkansas grown rye and 12.5% malted barley.  It was aged two years, 4 months in a 53-gallon new charred oak barrel and bottled at 100 proof.

This Bourbon was made in January of 2014 using the ‘sour mash’ method where a portion of the previous batch’s stillage is added to the cook.  This lowers the pH and thus “sours” the mash. This Bourbon was 100% mashed, distilled, aged and bottled by Rock Town Distillery.  We’re makers not fakers. 100 proof / 50% ABV Rock-Town-Barrels2
