ROCK TOWN – FLAVOR GRAIN SERIES – BOURBON WHISKEY & ARKANSAS WHISKEY

Flavor-Grain-Series

Bourbon is usually made with rye or wheat as the flavor grain, but we decided to try to see what contributions other grains would have and started our flavor grain series.

Each bourbon was mashed and aged exactly the same with only one difference, the middle grain, the small grain or what we call “the flavor grain”. The whiskeys were made without corn, so they’re not bourbons, each with its own distinct flavor profile.

Sorghum Bourbon (purple label)
61% Arkansas Corn
30% Arkansas Red Sorghum grain
9% malted barley

Sorghum Whiskey (purple label)
91% Arkansas Red Sorghum grain
9% malted barley

Barley Bourbon (brown label)
61% Arkansas Corn
30% Arkansas unmalted barley
9% malted barley

Barley Whiskey (brown label)
91% Arkansas unmalted barley
9% malted barley
(special Belgian Saison yeast used for extra esters)

These whiskeys were 100% mashed, distilled, aged and bottled by Rock Town Distillery.  We’re makers not fakers.

Each whiskey is bottled at 92 proof / 46% ABV.
