Fifteen years ago, Phil Brandon walked away from the corporate grind at Alltel Wireless, raising a big “cheers” (and maybe a little “F-you”) to the status quo. He set out to do something bold: start Arkansas’ first legal distillery since Prohibition. With one still, a lot of determination, and grain sourced from right here in Arkansas, Rock Town was born.
Fast forward 15 years, and what started as a wild dream has become a nationally awarded, grain-to-glass distillery — and we’re throwing a celebration worthy of the journey.

This year’s 15th Anniversary Golden Blend isn’t just a whiskey — it’s a milestone. A toast to every risk, every barrel, and every pour that got us here. To celebrate 15 years of distilling in the heart of Arkansas, we created something that reflects who we are and how far we’ve come—The Golden Blend. This special release brings together two of our own 5-year-old straight bourbons, each with its own distinct character and story.
The first is our pot-distilled Golden Promise Bourbon, made from 82% Arkansas corn, 9% Golden Promise malt, and 9% distillers malt. It’s rich, bold, and full of personality, with deep oak influence and layers of malty sweetness. Distilled low and slow on our copper pot stills, it captures the hands-on, grain-forward approach we’ve honed since day one.
The second component is our column-distilled bourbon, crafted from 79% Arkansas corn, 8% Arkansas wheat, and 13% malted barley. This bourbon brings a smoother, softer profile—light on the palate but full of character, with notes of sweet grain, gentle spice, and a long, easy finish.
Blended together, these two styles strike a beautiful balance between bold and approachable, traditional and modern. It’s a whiskey that honors our roots in craft distilling while showcasing just how far we’ve come in 15 years.
This is Rock Town in a bottle—every drop distilled by us, from Arkansas grain, aged with care, and blended to mark a milestone worth raising a glass to.
