Rock Town Arkansas Rye Whiskey is a premium small batch rye whiskey distilled, aged and bottled at our distillery in Little Rock, Arkansas.  We take pride in the fact that our Rye grain is grown in southeast Arkansas.

As with all our whiskies, our Rye Whiskey is made from grain to glass right here at the distillery in Little Rock. We’re makers not fakers.

Beginning with batch 12 we changed the mash bill from 88% rye and 12% malted barley, to 52% rye, 38% corn and 10% malted barley.  The rye grain and the corn are grown in Arkansas. Like all our whiskeys, non-chill filtered.

94.5/100 – Jim Murray’s 2020 Whisky Bible

“The grains sing so crisply…! Of choral quality; Rock by name, rock by nature: supremely salivating with the grain calling the shots from the first moment with a breath-taking firmness: not sure rye gets any cleaner or more brittle than this; returns to a more mocha friendly mode; sharper than a Harvard graduate. And worth a whole lot more…”

94/100 – Jim Murray’s 2019 Whisky Bible

“The rye is so well defined and fruity! You could cut diamonds with this…; salivating, the rye works on both a crisp and fruity level despite the obvious oils around; intricate spices and subtle vanilla and chocolate; the oils do kick on slightly, but the marriage of castor sugar and juicy rye is built to last; Arkansas is slowly becoming a major rye destination: this is excellent! Better, in fact, than some ryes made by the established distilleries of Kentucky.”

93/100 – Excellent, Highly Recommended

Tasting Notes:
This firecracker of a whiskey explodes with aromas of smoked cinnamon candy, wild fern, anise seed, and Meyer lemon. The palate provides dense, juicy grain and biscuit tones finishing with a kiss of cayenne pepper.
